Inspired by David Hockney’s multi-canvas paintings of the Grand Canyon, this picture of Stannage Edge in the Peak District is painted across 8 canvases. Painted plein air, on location up on the Edge, this was a labour of love. The use of colour and scale communicates the atmosphere and grandeur of this incredible place. The process ( and physical effort!!) I went through to produce this work is described in my blog. It’s fair to say it has a very special place in my art journey and would make a fantastic addition to a lover of this area of outstanding natural beauty.
