Landscape can have a powerful effect on us, be it a sense of ‘home’, the perfect holiday or memories of an event or person.

I can capture that landscape in a beautiful original oil painting, a lasting reminder to display in your home.

As a plein air landscape artist I like to go to a place and paint, capturing the atmosphere and mood. But I can work from a good reference photo equally as well.

We can discuss the size of the picture, big or small, a single board or multiple canvases and agree a price and I’ll do the rest.

After a few weeks of painting, frame making and drying time it will be ready.

PRICING

The price is negotiable but as a guide work on 50p per square centimeter.

So for example a guide price for a painting that is :

20cm x 20cm = 400sq cm x 50p will cost £200

30cm x 20cm = 600sq cm x 50p will cost £300.

40cm x 30cm = 1200sq cm x 50p will cost £600.

This guide price includes the framing & delivery.

The best bit and the worst bit for an artist!

It is such a joy to handover a commission and see the reaction of the client, often emotional. There is something about an original Painting that stirs emotion, I think it’s the human input, the sense of a place that a photo doesn’t deliver.

The handover is lovely but always makes me slightly anxious.
