The road through Old Denaby hugs the hillside and offers panoramic views west towards Mexborough. The landscape here is changing, the old traditional industries are gone and there is a growing trend to build new warehouses that sit in the valley. With the River Don running through the valley there was lots of evidence of flooded fields.
