Kinder Scout, the start of the Pennine Way, the scene of the mass trespass in 1932, a formidable mountain that rises out of Edale in the Hope Valley. At 636 metres, the highest point in the Peak District.
I have walked on the Kinder plateau many many times and it never disappoints, the views across to the Great Ridge and Mam Tor are epic, the weather is unpredictable at the best of times and the wind forged rock formations create drama.
For a plein air landscape painter it is a joy and I was up there in the summer to sketch and begin a series of works exploring the Dark Peak.
This painting captures the drama, the rocks and the view into Hope Valley below. Bring a little of this rugged Northern Landscape to your home with this colourful, textured original oil painting.
Presented in a handmade white wooden St Ives frame ready to hang. Certificated as an original.
Carefully wrapped and posted using Royal Mail Tracked service.
